Bone Growth

Overgrowth of any bone involved in the making of hip joint can cause considerable discomfort to the patient. It may also remain unnoticed and gets diagnosed only if an X-ray is performed due to some other reason.

Characteristics of bone growth:
  • Cause: Overgrowth due to age OR injury OR arthritis

  • Symptoms: Pain in hip or knee joint and limited joint mobility

  • Treatment: Hip arthroscopy is performed to repair the bone growth in cases where conservative treatment measures and physical therapy fail to provide relief to the patient.
